EVENT: Lycée Michel Lucius Parents’ Conference this Tuesday – Open to all

This is a last-minute reminder that on Tuesday 5th May, the Lycée Michel Lucius will be holding an evening parents’ conference with two special guest speakers to discuss the sensitive issues affecting some children and teenagers today. The following information is lifted from their leaflet detailing the event.

 

7pm: “Quarrels, Violence and Mobbing – How Should I Respond as a Parent?

Our children can be confronted with quarrels, mobbing and even violence in and outside of school. At this parents’ evening we will address these phenomena with a focus on mobbing. We will advise parents on how to react in situations like these and we will provide advice on how to help and support children in times of difficulty.

Guest speaker: Mme Nicole Gorza (Educator)

 

8.10pm: “I Don’t Want to Cope, I Can’t Cope Anymore!

What do we know about adolescent suicide and how can we prevent it?

Guest speaker: Dr. Fränz D’Onghia (Doctor of Psychology)

 

Please note that the evening starts at 7pm and the venue is the Salle Polyvalente at the Lycée Michel Lucius, 157 Avenue Pasteur, L-2311 Luxembourg. The conference will be conducted in Luxembourgish, French and English, with simultaneous language translations provided by ASTI.
