EVENT: “Multilingual Children – Perspectives and Practical Tips for Parents” Seminar on Thursday 15th June
News in of an upcoming seminar that will probably interest the majority of the families here: “Multilingual Children – Perspectives and Practical Tips for Parents”.
The evening has been organised by Irene Mäkelä-Brunnekreef and Minna Holmberg, who are both mothers themselves and curious and excited about raising their own multilingual children in multilingual Luxembourg. There will be three speakers at the seminar: Annika Bourgogne (an author and expert on early adaptation of multiple languages); Stacie Allard (a professional specialised in the learning aspect of multilingual children); and Ranka Šarenac (a children’s psychologist), who will each be giving their professional perspectives and input on the topic.
The seminar will focus on the raising of multilingual children (or monolingual children in a multilingual environment) and will give practical tips for early adaptation within the family and advice on learning perspectives. They will also discuss how to support your children in the complex language situations and the local perspectives of Luxembourg.
Date: Thursday June 15th, from 6pm-9pm
Address: Hotel Melia, 1 Park Drai Eechelen, L-1499 Kirchberg, Luxembourg
