Julia Climbs to Everest BC for Passage!

Julia Zhang became acquainted with Passage around 5 years ago, during her search for support as she navigated a difficult phase in her journey as a parent. While Julia says she is grateful for the support she found in our wonderful community, Passage is thrilled to have gained a friend as spirited and go-getting as Julia. Her multi-faceted, generous personality reveals itself through her many enterprising and community-building undertakings she is engaged in.

One of these is combining her passion for climbing snowy peaks with her commitment to building a better society and world. Almost each year she climbs for charity and supports causes that are close to her heart. On her last climb to Mt. Kilimanjaro, Julia raised funds for orgnisations supporting women vulnerable to domestic abuse and human trafficking. This year, to mark her association with Passage and on the occasion of our 10th anniversary, she raises money for this small group of parents supporting parents.

For those of you who don’t know, Passage is a group that is funded and run entirely by parents. Everything we offer is free and at most charged only to cover the most minimum costs. Over the years, we have organised several nevtworking events, monthly support meetings, information evenings. We maintain an informative website that serves as a comprehensive resource for parents in Luxembourg and we facilitate, online and in person meetings with parents and professionals to bring them together. Additionally every month we set up a support meeting in a safe and cosy space so we can connect to our parenting community, support it and grow it.

All of this unfortunately costs money and we always depend on the kindness of friends to be able to bring you better and more services each year. We are hopeful that any donation Julia receives for us will help us sustain our efforts and even add to our capabilities.

Passage is proud to have been able to support Julia in her parenting journey and touched at her gesture of giving back.
